DIY : GUCCI INSPIRED STUDDED DENIM

Have you ever pulled on your belt loops a little too hard and ripped one? This has happened to me several times #bigbootyproblems haha. I don't have that many pairs of bell bottoms, so I saved this pair thinking I could add an extra 70's vibe with a fun patch.

After I watched the Spring 2017 Gucci show, I immediately screenshotted the studded denim and ran to Ace Handicraft (which is dangerously close to my house). I bought a couple packs of studs maybe 3-5? but that was completely off. (Note* you need a lot more than you think)

The overall process of this studded look is genuinely simple, but very hard on your hands. I strongly suggest you use a bedazzler-esqe tool for as long as it will reach. You just align a couple of studs and then press down. Once that can't reach, whip out a plier tool to help you flatten the backs of the snaps. * If you don't completely flatten the back- you will get pinched when putting the pants on*

If you don't have either tool, I found a spoon did help do the job. There will also be tough spots (seams, corners, and pockets) that you will probably just use your fingers. Be careful that you don't press too hard, I have seen nails split- Ouchie!

For the patch, I just used a basic hand stitch to cover / re-enforce the hole I made ( whoops). I've been a major fan of Alessandro Michele since he took over Gucci. I call these studded inspired jeans my "Magic Pants"... I get a lot of compliments :)
